Pivot! Back to Business Has Been Postponed.

Today was supposed to look a little different. I’m not supposed to be in shorts and a ponytail, working on my blog. I’m sad about it but I’m not discouraged.

We imagined walking into The Vessel, grabbing a locally roasted Raven Coffee, soaking up the buzz of entrepreneurs making connections, asking bold questions, and having those lightbulb ah-ha moments that strengthen brand and confidence. We imagined a day that would push your business forward with inspiration and tactical, actionable tips that make a difference. That’s the kind of energy we designed Back to Business to create and we’re disappointed not to be experiencing it with you today. The weather is even perfect for the Mocktail Minger we’d planned.

Unfortunately we didn’t get the registration numbers we needed to make this event as dynamic as we wanted so we’ve made the decision to postpone the event to late November, not because we’re pulling back, but because we believe in this event so much, we want to give it the time and space it deserves to reach its full potential.

Why We’re Pressing Pause

Fall is busy, packed with product launches, pop-ups, prep for the holiday season, and an endless swirl of to-dos. We heard from many of you that while Back to Business sounded like something you wanted to attend, the timing just didn’t quite work.

Rather than push through with a lighter crowd, we’re giving this day a little more breathing room. Because if we’re doing it, we want to do it right and that means a full space, energy, and an experience that feels completely worth your time and investment, as well as that of the incredible experts who’d put their hands up to be part of it.

What This Event is All About

This isn’t your average speaker panel or networking lunch. Back to Business was built to give small business owners direct, face-to-face access with up to eight industry experts covering everything from sales to social media, legal to finance. Like a speed dating event but offering micro meetings in a private room with the door closed and your laptops out.

For the price of a single 1:1 consult, you get a full day of expert insight, hands-on support, new connections, and real strategies to help you grow and get your questions answered. It’s a full day to focus on your business, no client work, no laundry, just your business. Add in great food, collaborative conversation, and networking time with a room full of fellow entrepreneurs, and you’ve got a day that truly delivers.

We still believe in it. Fully. And we’re already building the next version.

Big Thanks + What’s Ahead

We’re incredibly grateful to The Vessel for being such a supportive partner and host space, we can’t wait to be back in that beautiful room soon. And a huge thank-you to TD Women in Enterprise for their generous sponsorship and belief in the value of this event. Your support helps make this possible.

We’re currently eyeing late November for the new date, and we’ll be sharing details as soon as they’re finalized. Our goal is to make sure this day is vibrant, impactful, and a true catalyst for the businesses that show up.

Let’s Build Something Even Better

We’d love to hear from you. If there’s something you’d like to see, someone you’d love to learn from, or a timing suggestion that works better for your calendar, get in touch. This event was built for our local entrepreneur community, and we want your voice in the room (even before the event starts).

So while today’s not quite what we pictured, we’re more energized than ever to bring Back to Business to life.

Sometimes a pivot is what makes the story and the results even richer.
