I’m thrilled to share some exciting news! WINT Communications, my boutique Public Relations firm, has been named a 2026 Canadian Choice Award Winner in the Public Relations Firms category for Vancouver.
This recognition means a lot. Not just because it’s national, but because it was created specifically to honour small and medium-sized businesses across Canada. Businesses like mine, that don’t always fit into traditional award criteria.
Why This Award Matters
As a solopreneur, I wear every hat in my business. From strategy and execution to IT, client service and content, it’s all me behind the scenes. And while I love what I do, receiving best PR agency recognition isn’t always something that comes with this kind of work, on a team of one.
Many awards out there are designed with larger companies in mind. Businesses with teams, budgets, revenue goals, and application requirements that can be hard for small businesses to meet. So to have an award that’s actually accessible to small businesses is rare and it’s meaningful.
I didn’t expect to win. Being nominated for best PR agency was already a surprise. But to be recognized alongside other businesses across Canada doing incredible work around the country and beyond, feels really special.
Quick Thanks
This win wouldn’t be possible without the people who support my business. Clients who trust me, peers and friends who cheer me on, and those who took the time to nominate or vote. Thank you. It means a lot.

Reminder: It’s Not the Size That Counts
This Canadian Choice Award for Public Relations feels like it isn’t just about WINT Communications and my tiny, run from home dream, it’s about the idea that small businesses do deserve to be seen. That good work, no matter the size of the team behind it, is worth recognizing.
Thanks again to everyone who’s been part of this journey.
